Senior Investment Analyst – Investment Management – Private Wealth
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis & Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Analyze economic indicators and sector trends that could impact financial markets.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, earnings reports, and industry-specific data to assess company performance and valuation.
Investment Strategies Development:
- Collaborate with Analysts and Investment Managers to develop and refine investment strategies.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to generate actionable investment insights and recommendations.
- Present new investment ideas and strategies to the team, supported by robust research and analysis.
Portfolio Management Support:
- Assist in the management and oversight of investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk tolerance.
- Conduct portfolio analysis to identify and recommend rebalancing actions when necessary.
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to client reporting and communication.
Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting:
- Maintain and manage extensive databases of historical investment performance and market data.
- Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to analyze data and forecast trends.
- Prepare and present regular investment reports, market updates, and performance analyses to stakeholders and clients.
Innovation and Continuous Learning:
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to investment management.
- Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture within the team, including mentoring interns or new analysts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis, using financial software and databases. Expert in using Bloomberg
Presentation Skills: Exceptional presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive presentations, and the confidence to effectively deliver these presentations to a variety of audiences.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a client-oriented mindset.
Languages: English – Fluent in both spoken & written communication.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Work under pressure: Ability to sit for extended periods, working on reports, data analysis, and portfolio review.
Certifications: CFA is a must (minimum level 2)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investment analysis or a similar field with a proven track record in the investment management industry.
- Strong understanding of fixed income, equity markets, equities investment strategies, financial instruments, and risk management techniques.
- High level of interest in economic and financial market trends.
